What to Do at the St. Louis Zoo!

Become a Zoo Friend

Our zoo offers so much for preschoolers and their families. You can become a Zoo Member and receive many benefits that will make your visits even more enjoyable. See the Animal Always Sculpture
The St. Louis Zoo has animals, of course. But, did you know that it is also home to a large sculpture of more than 60 animals? The Animal Always Sculpture is at the Hampton Avenue entrance of Forest Park.

Ride the Train Take a break and see a lot. The Zooline Railroad operates from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visit the Children’s Zoo
The Children’s Zoo offers special exhibits for preschoolers. Entrance into the Children’s Zoo is free the first hour that the zoo is open. After that, it is $4.00 per person. Preschoolers under age two are always free. Find out more about the Children’s Zoo.

Ride the Carousel
The St. Louis has a beautiful old time carousel. Preschoolers will be able to ride one of many  beautiful carousel animals. Read more about the carousel.

Penguins
The St. Louis Zoo is working hard to provide natural habitats for its animals. Check out the zoo map to plan your trek around the grounds. There are lots of snack stands, shops, and benches along the way.
